I just got a brand new KAC RAS for my M4A2. The problem is, I knew I had a H Bar but I didn't realize how heavy it was till after I got my RAS. My barrel (under the handguards) is .970" in diameter . The spacer on the inside front (connected to the leaf spring) is not big enough to fit the barrel. What would be the best way to modify the spacer to fit that diameter?

remove it and it will fit fine

Just pop that pin at the top out? and that is it?

Modify the barrel, not the RAS.

One will wear out eventually, the other won't.
