I want to change the stock forearm on my AR so I can have more options for mounting stuff.  I am not sure I need rails on all four sides.  I for sure want a rail on the bottom so I can use my harris bipod and maybe a different sling set up.  At this point in time I don't have any other accessories to mount.

Whose products should I be looking at?

I have seen a special wench in the catalogs to take the forearm off.  Is it needed or are there other tool options? If I were just to add just a bottom rail, do I need to take the forearm off?
