| Hi guys, I am hoping u can give some advice / info on slings I think I want a single point & I was wondering if the Magpul is any good. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

rumage though here: www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=3&f=19 it all depends on what you are looking to use the sling setup for... i prefer USGI/M14 slings up on my distance rifles, single and 2 points (IDF, Giles and Spec Ops) on carbines havent tried the magpull one... |

If Magpul sells it, it's good. I believe that theirs is made by: http://www.blueforcegear.com/ I have one for an AR pistol, and I recommend it, if you like the single point. I have one of Blue Force's Vicker's 2 point slings, and it's excellent. But I've come to slightly prefer the V-Tac 2 point over the Vickers. |
| I read an article I found on the thread Alphaghost put in his post now I am not so sure if I do want a single point or a 2 point the 2 sounds like it might be a little better because I would have a bit more control where as the single point it would just hang there and they showed a picture of how the muzzle could hit the ground if I were to squat down for anything and the 2 point didnt hang as low. Any suggestions for me guys? |

MagPul doesn't make slings, but they do sell them from Gear Sector, Vickers, and Wilderness. Problems with the single point sling generally result from asking the sling to do something it wasn't intended to do. Single points are for narrow, specialized applications. The two point is a little more versatile and will allow you to do a little more. Stickman and I have done reviews on the Gear Sector GS-2P here. It is a great two point sling. ![]()
