I was browsing through the picture section of the precision ARs and I saw that some you guys had a VFG mounted on a FF rail. I didn't find any info through a search. So, how is it done?

On a free floated rail it slides right on.

On a free float tube, some have places to attach sections of rail.

If you can point us to the pic your talking about we can tell you how it was done.

And you can always attach anything to anything else with the right tools (tap and or die)

Which free float rail was it attached to?

Some VFGs like the Bobro are quick detach. Not all slide on the rail. Those ones are a pain in the ass. Thats why I use the Bobro.

I'm sorry, I had a major brain fart. You're right, it was a FF TUBE, not a RAIL.

That's the pic I was referring to, one of the mod's rifles.

While that is not a free float rail like Larue and Daniel Defense make, it does have a rail running the full length on top and has a short piece of rail at the rear that the grip is attached to.  That tube is made by Viking Tactics and it, like tubes available from JP, YHM and PRI, are modular with pre-drilled holes so that rails can be attached when and where needed.
