Gentlemen:

Do any of you all use one of those weapons catch items that attaches to your belt and keeps your AR15 secure while moving around?  There are several on the market such as the Blackhawk Mark 1 and I was wondering if anybody has an opinion on these.

Thank you.

I bought one (BHI) and had it on my belt once. Between the VFG and tactical light I didn't realy have any room to secure my weapon with it. I find a bungee attached to my belt works much better. I know a few serious HSLD guys and a few use purpose designed weapons catches for things like fast roping, but most, just use a bungee. They do work well if you are doing breaching with a shotgun and need to keep it secured and close to you when not in use.

There is one I saw from Diamondback Tactical that may work a little better than the ones from BHI. I have not had any personal experiance with it.

I have alot of other things on my belt and one of those weapons catches might not work.  I think I might just invest in a good sling to keep my AR from flying around.

Thank you Ray.
