This week, I sent back my second pair of Sordin earpro to their US distributor for the same problems I had in the first pair.  Both sets had issues with the electronics; either intermittent attenuation or no attenuation, even with fresh batteries.  The first time, they did a straight replacement.  This time when I called to get an RA, they said they were aware of the problem and have hired an in-house tech to fix the issue until Sordin can address the problem at the factory.

What they were seeing is a quality problem at the battery compartment with either loose wires or bad caps.

They are confident the fix will eliminate the problem.

Customer service is top-notch and I would feel confident in recommending the company.

Not sure who your supplier is but I purchased mine from their Florida distributor whose name is something like CSUK.  I thought that battery compartment had loose battery terminals as the electronics would shut down often as if it lost power.  Sometimes I could simply turn it on again other times it would take shaking the unit and while trying to turn it on again.  The supplier replaced my first unit.  I tried the replacement briefly when I received it and it seemed okay.  I did not take them to the range for a few weeks but when I did I experienced the same problem as before.  The supplier said that Sordin was having issues converting the manufacturing process to conform with the new European ROHS standard requiring lead free solder but had finally corrected the problem and the 2nd replacement would work fine.  So far they have been working fine.

I also had the same problem. TCI said the same thing as the OP and fixed the problem in-house.

Last week at the range I was shooting by myself for the last half hour and when I went to leave I was gonna turn of the sordins but found they were already off (since I wasn't talking to anyone and no one was shooting around me, I just hadn't noticed) and I wasn't there long enough for the 4 hour cut-off and I never heard the warning beep.

I hope this set hasn't gone TU on me again.
