I'm trying to find out where to get the best IDF-type sling. Armytacshop.com says they have the model produced by IDF contractor Marom-Dolphin, and DSG arms has one listed with no production source mentioned. I would appreciate any feedback from people that have some experience with the various sources out there before i plunk down the greenbacks...

TIA!

I've seen that site too. Any markings on the sling as far as origin? How was the quality?

I got 3 IDF slings, black, green and tan from DSG Arms and they had the Marom-Dolphin tags.

You might want to ask DSG if their current IDF slings have the same brand tags.

DSG does sem to have a good rep here. How are the slings holding up?

I ended up going with DSG, and it did have the Marom tag. Appears to be a quality piece of work, and the price was right.

Now I just need to figure out how to tie up the paracord!

Thanks to all for the advice...

Here's my IDF sling on my A2 rifle but it's a bad pic, sorry, your front sling paracord could be looped around either the front or rear post of the front sight base.

You're good to go except the paracords, it's kind of hard to explain, I wish DSG Arms still had their Industry forum which they had pictures and instructions.

Well I'll give it a try, take a 12" long paracord for your Front Sight Base (FSB), fold the paracord in half and then tie a simple overhand knot at the cut ends of the paracord.

Position the cut end of the paracord and the simple knot up and the loop end down, insert the loop end thru the middle of the FSB's large opening, wrap the paracord once or twice around the vertical leg of the FSB and insert the cut end with the knot thru the hole of the loop end and pull the knot end up, now just hook the sling to your paracord on the top end next to the knot.

The rear paracord I have an instruction link with pictures and it shows a solid A1/ A2 stock, if you have a carbine stock just use shorter paracord about 12" long or less and wrap it around the buttstock body that's common to the buffer tube (rear end of buffer tube) go thru the sling slot of the stock below the buffer tube.
