Dry firing is not at all harmful to the AR, so unnecessary.

I use snap caps for my HK USP .40 when i sit at home and practice my trigger pulls while watching tv. I have a few A-Zoom caps. They work pretty well.

I was at the fun show and saw these orange plastic look to be knock off snap caps? Is that what they are???

They're not needed for dry firing, I use mine to practice FTF drills (tap, roll, rack).
