I'm wanting to put a sling on my recce-type AR. It has an A1 stock and a FF rail.

I'm thinking maybe a 3-point sling but I've never used one so I'm not sure if it is the best choice. Also, what options are there for attaching it to the A1 stock besides the sling swivel that's already on it?

I was also thinking a Daniel Defense side sling adapter for the front attachment point on the rail.

Any help, suggestions, pictures, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What do you want your sling to do for you?? Why do you believe a 3-point would suit your needs best?

Daniel Defense makes some very good products, they are highly recommended.

IM sent.

I would be using it mainly just to take the weight off my arms while carrying it. This rifle won't be used for any high speed applications. Just prone and bench rest shooting. But, I may carry it with me for semi long distances at times.

Still open to everyones opinions.

Do you like straps?  If so, get a three point.  Do you like adjusting them when you need to change position?  Three point.  Want an octopus humping your rifle?
For what you describe, an IDF type (there are many) sounds like a good match.
If you have the GI top sling adapters or some paracord you could make your own with a GI sling.

Viking Tactics adjustable 2 point with fixed stock adapter. Basically converts it from a bollom sling point to a side sling point astern.

The DD offset sling loop and some 550 parcord would work great up front. I run my sling with the forward slinging point at the back of the rail on the LHS.
