I have 2 of the harris bipods that swivel and was looking at adding the "pod-lock".  I remember reading a post where someone got all the parts at the local hardware store for 3.00-4.00 vs. 20.00 or so for the pod lock "kit".  Anyone remember this??

You want the BPL-ZS with 1 washer, but if you're smart you'll order an extra for when you get that other bipod.

Well, it took long enough (and it was the off season  ), but I finally ordered my pod lock parts.  Got all the parts for 4 bipods for 22.00 total, shipped.

T-Nuts bipod lock

I went w/the BPL-Z so I wouldnt have any stainless steel showing, but any of the levers will work.  Literally took less than 1 min to switch the parts.

Driections for Install

When I 1st read the instructions, it looked like I might need a degree from MIT, but it was literally 3 steps at most.

I placed an order with T Nuts...the guy is awesome with his communication.  His spacers were on backorder and he shipped me my levers and upgraded them without charging me the difference.  He also emailed me several times to let me know the status of the spacers.  T Nuts is good to go in my book.

This is where I bought mine.  I didn't need a spacer , so I don't know what that is all about.  I am running two of them.

Thanks guys.  I have been wanting to get a few of these, but just hadn't done it yet.  You just saved me about $50.

thanks to wildearp I have a line on another supplier for these t-handles besides T-Nuts which always seems to be out of stock. McMaster Carr p/n 64835k32 zinc $6  or 6305k32 nylon $4.

T-nuts is probably out of stock because I just bought what they had.........

Kipp made the nylon one I am using, called 'adjustable handle'.  10-32 thread 0.31" thread depth. You will need 2 or 3 #10 plain flat washers under this, probably.  McMaster Carr is cheaper than Reid.

Bought a couple handles from t-nuts, came in 2 days.
Those instructions do indeed make the installation look like rocket science, but its soo easy.

Didnt like my swivel bi-pod, until i installed the handle. Now i can tighten it down so it wont move at all.
Very good $6 investment.

I ordered a bunch about 8 yrs ago.  That is why I included the manufacturer, thread and depth in my post.  You can pic any version that meets the spec.  Your choice.

When you talk about washer, are you talking the 3/16" spacer?

DeBill,

Yes, the "washer" is the 3/16 spacer.  You need 1 lever and spacer per bipod.  They work great!!
