I have seen some pictures of a sling mount that apparently clamps on the barrel under the FSB.  Does anyone know who makes it.  Here is a picture.  Thanks

Thanks for the links!  Does anyone know how it mounts or if anything needs to be removed to do so???  The one in the picture looks like it is wider than the RRA one or is it just me noticing that??

No need to remove anything, It slides on the barrel and is held on by roll pins.

PK Firearms, ADCO, and Eagle Firearms have these as well...

Does anyone have a line on these that are made for the lightweight/pencil/standard (0.625") barrels?

The original version would work with either, it would depend on how you installed the far side (flipped one way it worked with M4/A2 barrel, flipped the other it worked with the M16A1/LW barrels).

Yeah, I have one of the double sided style, but I don't like it very much. I have several of the single sided for 0.750" bbl and a few single sided for 0.625" bbls. I still need 2 of the single sided style for 0.625"...

Also be aware that some bbls/FSB are slightly out of spec (I've got one from Bushy) and the adapter will not fit between them.

My experience has been that you need a piece of electrical tape on the inside of the mount to get a good snug fit on the barrel to keep the mount from sliding around...

I take it you haven't shot more than 30 rounds through your AR15 very fast then.
I used tape on the inside of the sling mount to keep it from sliding around, it burnt off after doing a couple of mag dumps.

Then use an aluminum pop can for a spacer.

Grab some scissors and cut up a can.  Cut your own shims.

I bought mine fron Stag Arms directly and it was fairly tight on my bushy barrel. Sold that upper assembly a few hours ago and now i'm contemplating if I wan't one on my other upper. I love the tacticoolness of it .

Even making little brass rainbows, I have not had any problems with the tape melting, even after a few of years of use. I'm using 3M Super 33+ tape, and you're right, it's only rated for 105* C, but has not failed me yet!
