Well, if I throw the gun over my shoulder with the standard sling, the VFG digs into my side.

So, I looped both ends through the loop in the back, and it works pretty good.

It beats spending the money on a single point sling, atleast for now.

Anyone ever do this?

I think that's where the single-point idea came from, and I believe it has a name but I don't remember what it is. The single-point is the new, improved version. Improved by keeping the rifle up away from your legs better and easier to reach.
