So I bought a cheek piece for my RRA and I like the way it feels when shooting it. But there is one problem I can not colapse my stock when it is attached. Does anyone else have this problem?

What do you mean "can't collapse" it?  Is it blocking the movement of the stock?

The cheekpiece should be completely on the stock body.  Check that the front of the cheekpiece (under the protruding nose) isn't past the front of the stock body.

Yes I cannot extend or shorten my stock. Maybe I have it on there wrong. I will check tonight after I get home to see if that is the problem.

If I remember correctly the cheek piece actually presses on the stock body deforming the inside hole to an oval. It was designed like that to take out the slack of the body on the tube.

It probably is this friction that is stopping the stock from moving once the leaver is depressed.

So it is supposed to be a pain in the ass to move my stock to different positions. That sucks..

Another issue is that it totally screws up my sighting through my ACOG. Anyone else use these with flatop scopes?

These types of cheek pieces are really only good for optics mounted high, like above a carry handle.  They're not very compatible with anything mounted on a flat top.

I had the same problem.  I had to sand down the inside of the cheekpiece.  This took some of the pressure off of the buttstock so that is can slide along the tube better/easier.

I bought a dowel rod (1"?, 2" thick???) and had the self stick sandpaper.  Stick the sand paper to the dowel rod so that it  goes 3/4' around one end, and start taking off some of the plastic.  The "nubs" on the inside of the cheekpeice were the 1st parts to go.  It's trial and error.

I have one on my 16" Bushmaster flat top with an Aimpoint ML2 on a LaRue mount. When I first installed the peice the tube was very tight and would not extend or retract, this sucks! So I get the directions back out and this time read them and put the peice in hot, boiling hot, water and reinstalled. Now it works just fine it even removed the rattle the stock had before. Other people who have shot my rifle have had difficulty properly lining up the sight but it works fine for me.

Check out the CAA stock saddle.  Great cheek weld area and low enough for you to use on a flattop like mine below.  It doesn't interfere with either the collapsible stock or the charging handle.  You can find them for $17 shipped.
