Okay, so I finally unwrapped my sling and tried to put it on.  It's the stock sling for my Colt 6920.  How's this funky thing go on?  I'm trying to use the middle slot of the stock, not the end swivel.

Are you trying to use the single piece of webbing?  If so, just stop now.  The side swivel sling mount on the barrel is set up for a 3 point sling, not that strap that comes with it.  If you are into 2 point slings, you could use the side mount for that as well.

Toss the included sling in the trash where it belongs and shop for an aftermarket one that suits your needs.

Heh.  Never underestimate the power of ignorance.  It's on now and works well enough for my needs. ;)  After a decent training class, I'll have a better idea whether I need a different sling and what to get.

(ETA:  I meant the power of my own ignorance. :) )

Depending on who you train with and what your needs are (and both of those factors are subject to change) you may select a one, two or three point sling.  Our SOC-C Sling offers that versatility in ONE SLING.
