I'm building a dedicated .22lr M4 for my 10yr old cousin as a christmas gift.  One of his requests is for a suppressor.... that won't happen but,  he will be happy with a look a like.  Does anyone know where I can purchase one of these online.  I've seen some that slide over the barrel to give it the SBR look and I think that's what he's after.  Any help would be appreciated.

Unless you get an airsoft one and make it fit a rifle barrel, I wouldn't know where to get one

Maybe try building one?

I'll try and give MFI a call... I thought about making it myself... but, there are so many legal issues and if the cavity is to large the ATF would actually call it a suppressor.

I also understand the Surefire creates a copy of their silencer availabe only to dealers...maybe try emailing them about it?

Emailed Surefire, they said that you CAN purchase their dummy suppressor

Called Surefire, guy said you CANNOT purchase their dummy suppressor

I broke down after much research and got one of the MFI fake suppressors.  I got the adaptor so it slides over the barrel for the SBR look.   Very well made and it looks great.  My little cousin is gonna really enjoy this .22 now.  I just have to remind myself it's not mine and wrap it for his Xmas gift.

If you have a pic, I would like to see what this looks like mounted.

Snapped a couple of quick pics.  It has 12 set screws to use depending on the adapter you get.  I only used the front 4 to avoid scratching the barrel with the other 8.  The aimpoint is a clone from the guy selling the on the EE, the Knights RAS is the real deal snagged it on ebay for 150  Between me and his dad we will have $800 in it by the time I get the lower put together.   Considering he turned down a xbox 360 and this was all he wanted for christmas I think he will be pleased.
