I'm home-brewing a sling for the rifle and have come up with a pretty simple way to convert it from a 2 point to a single point. Now, what are the advantages of a single point system? I've been playing around with it and don't really see any advantage. I know that the 2 point are more all purpose while the single is more of a CQB item, so I guess I just want to know why the single is better for CQB. Before somebody brings it up, I can't use a 3 point because I shoot lefty. |

they make lefty 3-point slings... I think skdtac has AR slings on clearance, waiting for the spectre gear branded ones to come in: www.skdtac.com/category.asp?CATEGORYID=80 single point, better for CQB and transitioning left to right hand, etc. also less secure/stable and better for hitting yourself in the sack... in my experience but hey, higher cool guy factor with the single point. |

I use a 1 point for my home defense gun. If I sling it over my weak side, i can drop it, slide it behind my back and draw handgun with my strong hand. I know this may sound kinda strange, but theres a few rooms i just dont want to clear with a M4. (small, bad angles, etc) And yes, balls get a little banged up untill you get used to it. But, i wouldn't go farther then the front door without a good 2 or 3 point fo carry. Just more comortable that way |
