.Vltors are an excellent product! I love all of mine. You won't be dissapointed. Rifle length or not? up to your personal preference and end use Single point sling set ups are all the rage for good reason. Giles Wilderness Best deals? I'm sure some dealers on the board will let ya know. good luck |
| I love my VLTOR Clubfoot. You can't go wrong with any of them though. I use a CQB Solutions HST (now Spector Gear) single point sling on mine. All the dealers on this board sell them for pretty much the same price. I buy all my stuff from JTAC Supply who is a board member so you can check that link or go to the industry section. He had just about every VLTOR the other day when I got mine so he should have what you want. |

Hi DBAR, The main benefit of going to the VLTOR modstock is the improved cheek weld that it offers you. It is a performance improvement that can affect your shooting positively. The rifle length VLTOR stocks have a QD attachment close enough to the receiver that it would work well with a Single-point sling without having to purchase a receiver end plate. What a lot of folks dont realize is that you can mount a rifle Modstock onto a mil-spec collapsible stock tube. It has a locking piece that locks the rifle stock in place- so if you install a mil-spec collapsible tube with a collapsible stock kit, you can switch rifle and carbine Modstocks with ease to suit your needs. We are one of several dealers that carry VLTOR products on the board at minimum advertised pricing. Our deal is that we usually have all the styles and colors in stock ready for immediate shipment ($5 flat fee), and anyone that orders Modstocks with tubes and collapsible stock kits gets a free spanner wrench to complete the install. As for single-point slings, we are a very biased "+1" for the CQB/Spectre MOUT b/c we sell them and use them all the time! The main advantage is that the emergency release buckle is not part of the loop that encircles your torso, so the sling loop stays with you, and a little attachment stays with the gun. This way you can clip your gun on and off with ease during training, and in an "emergency" the sling cant snag on anything as it unwraps. That's our $.02.. You wont regret a VLTOR purchase! Joe |

With the functional improvements you get with the Vltor Modstock, freeing up the little bit more extra cash to purchase a Vltor setup over a standard stock setup is worth it for many people. With the new Basic kits that are out, you can get into a full setup with tube and guts for around $150. The improved cheek weld alone is a benefit makes it more comfortable to shoot, which can increase your accuracy potential. One dramatic demonstration of the improved cheek weld can be seen with one-hand shooting drills with the Vltor versus the Standard stock. There are some products out there where you get what you pay for, and the Vltor Modstock is one of them. We've heard a lot of good things about Bravo Company- it's good to be among reputable dealers here on ARF.com |
