anyone know if you can go prone with this thing?  Have one or have any opinions of it in general?

I use the Giles version on the GG&G plate, and Ive had no problems going prone.

Any single-point sling will allow you to go prone, or to the opposite shoulder, as long as you don't have it set up too tight.

As a rough rule-of-thumb, adjust it so that the buttstock fits comfortably under your underarm with the weapon hanging at your side.

I like it.  My only reservation is that when you have it adjusted to hang the buttstock at mid chest height, the loop is pretty small compared to a standard single point sling.  This is due to the length of the attaching strap and buckle.
