Hello I just bought my first ar-15, it's a Bushmaster XM15 E2S A3 20in and I would like to mount a bipod on it. My question is what bipod do you guys recomend, and what acc will I need? I'm leaning toward a Harris but I'm the most confused about mounting it, what bracket do I need to mount to the rifle? Sorry for all the questions but I'm a major newbie and could really use some experienced advice here, thanks in advance!!!

Welcome.  Bushmaster makes a triple mount that goes just below the front sight, and then a  bipod adapter that goes on that.  That way your not mounting the bipod on the hand guard.  I use them and love them.

Go to the bottom of the page on this link and you will see them.

Where you think to shot yr rifle ?

Open fields or shooting range ?

For open fields a rock solid Parker Hale or a steel Versa-Pod is the way to go , at the range the best'd be the Harris BRS

Thanks for the advice guys, I will mainly be at the range so I think Harris it is. Bushyle I think that's the set up I'd like to use, can I get it anywhere else other than direct though Bushmaster? Just seemed kinda pricey to me for both of those brackets but if that's the only place then so be it. Not like I'm afraid to spend money but I just bought the rifle and a bunch of ammo so I'm kinda busted for the time being, thanks again for the advice!!!
