I like the sight, but sits up too high for me.  I even have it on the ADM low mount.  I don't need it to quick detach.

I am looking for a sight for my 9mm pistol that I assembled from left over parts.  I'd like to have this as my trunk gun.  If the battery dies, I still have the etched reticle (and a spare battery).

I believe the micro mounts from Aimpoint sit a bit lower than the ADM mount. I would look there for a possible solution.

I am such an idiot.  I neglected the most obvious solution, which is the Vortex / factory supplied mount.

When in doubt return to factory settings?

I took the spacer out, and dropped down to the lowest setting with the bottom / factory mount.

It bugs me that I have to flip the rear cap up instead of down.
The freaking hinge should have been a fat 1/8th inch higher.

I hate flipping caps upwards.

Hold on.  There is a spacer?   Clearly I need to examine it again.

I think he is referring to the Gen 1 Spitfire as the Spitfire AR doesn't have a spacer.

Sorry, wasn't aware there was a model change.
Yeah, I dug the box out, says 'Spitfire 1X'.
Learning things here is one of the reasons I pay the dues.
