Finished building my first AR15, looking to get some optics for it. The rifle barrel is a Faxon Gunner, 1-8 twist  .223/5.56 16 inchs. Im not mounting a Bipod on it, nor plan on using it for long range precision.

Im just curious if I should get one of the actual scopes, like the Crossfire II or if something like the Spitfire 3x Prism would be fine for the gun.

I really just havent a clue on how much scope I need for my rifle...

You could probably change to the title of the thread to "I dont know shit about rifle scopes" and be completely accurate.

Primary Arms 1-6 ACSS, the strike eagle isn't a bad option either.

I have the spitfire 3x and it's a nice scope but I would go vortex 1-6 or 1-8 if I did it over.
