| So I can get a smoking deal on a bushnell t series which is 15-45 x60. Was wondering how far I was be able to see 556 on paper with that? My buddy and I usually hit our spot and the max on the outdoor is 150 yards but I was like the scope to be capable of more if that's possible. Thanks for all the help |

How old are you? I ask because buying a premium spotting scope is a lifetime investment. I suggest getting a great one now and enjoying it forever.
I purchased an Unertyl around 34 years ago for the pricely sum of $255.00. In 1983 everyone gasped. If you can find one, now available online they start around $850.00 used. If I were buying new today I would probably get an angled Kowa with a 25x/27x extended eye relief eye piece. |
| 100 yards for sure, 200 yards maybe, 300 no way. They are difficult to focus and seem to not be that rugged internally. Mine went from being able to focus at 200 to just not, like something worked loose. It does not hold a candle to my old Bushnell Trophy 16-32X optically. My 15-45 T Series has way too course of focus that easily misses the sweet spot, is less clear than a next to bottom of the line $99 spotting scope from 30 years ago. Is the reticle and rails worth that much money? Because it did not go into the glass. |
