Hey guys, newbie here in hunting. If you had a budget of $5k what would be your ideal night visiOn set up? I currently have a deal to take an used REAP IR for 6,500 (I'm throwing a trade with value of $1.5k). Trying to see if there are better ways to spend that money.
I have a deer stand and feeder (about 100 yds apart) and there have been numerous hog sightings. |

I have a deer stand and feeder (about 100 yds apart) and there have been numerous hog sightings. You want a hand held spotter and scope. I would recommend a 384 resolution Pulsar scope and spotter. 640 resolution, like the REAP-IR, would be best, but you aren't getting both the scope and the spotter for $5k. You could use the REAP-IR dual purpose for awhile and add a spotter later, which is what I would do. JPK |
