Ive never used one before.
Are they worth it? I plan on pairing it with an exps-0 What do you guys think of them? How's the dot under magnification? |

I've been using the Aimpoint 3X for over 8 years and it's still a great option when you're primarily using a RDS. For example, our local 2gun match usually only has one Long Range stage that goes out to just under 400 yards, all other stages are <50 yards. I have mine on a QD mount and I just slap it on for the one stage and take it off after I'm done. I can pretty easily hit torso sized targets out to 400 with just the magnifier. Old age has me relying on it as the years have gone by.
My Bro-In-Law just picked up the G33/XPS and Ihad some trigger time behind the combo. Definitely a lot clearer than my old beat to hell Aimpoint but, they're both equally serviceable for their intended use. No issues at all with dot distortion from my personal experience. |

Pairs well, reticle stays crisp and can be centered in the magnifier easily. Flips to side well and I like the riser. |

Any parallax issues? How well does it hold zero once magnified? I have a couple G33s and am happy with them. |

The idea with a magnifier is that you zero with the magnifier up because at distance is where your zero matters the most. If you are shooting with the magnifier down, your zero won't be as important because you will be at close range anyway. Your zero probably won't be off much regardless. I have a couple G33s and am happy with them. |

You really might consider making your gun lighter, too, and putting a T2 on it instead of the EXPS3. Reason being, it's a whole lot lighter. Notably so. Just a thought. |

I really love the red dot/magnifier combo as you cant beat the red dots for up close, and you get that 3x mag at 500 yards is all you need to make hits on man sized targets.
The G33 has a big FOV and eyebox which is on par with thousand dollar scopes on the 3x setting as well. The setup is also as rugged as an acog if using Aimpoint/Eptech products. |

This will be my first eotech believe it or not (giving it a shot even after the class action suit.) I have a handful of ainpoints already. I've been a bit of a fanboy. But I basically took the "if it ain't broke" route, and kept to what I know. Finally, I figured what the hell. May as well try something new for once |

You've posted 3 times in this thread advocating for the T2. Are you one of those neverEotech dudes? |

Well I've heard mixed reviews on dot clarity with aimpoints compared to eotech. This will be my first eotech believe it or not (giving it a shot even after the class action suit.) | I've got a G33, love it. Probably the clearest, nicest magnifier on the market, at least of what I've used. I prefer it over Aimpoint's, and DEFINITELY prefer it over Vortex's (although the Vortex is like 1/3 the price for 2/3 the quality, so there is that if you're on a budget). The STS mount is fantastic, and it's quite rugged. Good piece of glass even if you're not a fan of EOTech's holosights. |

I used to have t1 with g33 and wasn't a fan. Eye relief was ok at best and the extra weight to go just 3x wasn't worth it to me. For the price you can get a pretty decent scope set up like vortex pst gen II etc.
It's all personal preference but to be honest the set up is somewhat antiquated |

Use the G33 as a monocular and slap it on the rifle when needed. Super durable, and about 14-15oz or so total weight. The EXPS3 raises it into the 20's though, which at that point, a 1-6 is a smarter move, IMO. |
