I'm going to be adding some offset BUIS to my Aero Precision M5E1 precision build.
I have zero experience with offset sights so I'm needing some advise on which brands are the best for the money. Thanks in advance. |

For fixed offset I'm sure most will recommend Dueck Defense RTS. Will run you around $200 for the set.
I know Surefire is in the game, and Troy makes a set of offset folders. I personally bought a cheap ass set of fixed offsets for $30 on Amazon a few years ago (Ade Advanced?). They've held zero, but I don't throw my crap around. |
| I have tried some cheap A2 style and they were okay, not all that quick. Then I got some XS XTI's and they are super quick but not that precise and at times can be difficult for cheek weld. Then I got Troy offset HK sights and they are great. I run them on a 14.5 build I use in 3 gun and I just got another set for my 16inch gun. The HK style are fast but can still be precise enough. |

I have knights on mine. Be warned, I had to cut part of the rail so the front sight would fit. The handguard is so large in diameter that I had to cut out a center bar so the bottom of the sight would clear. Otherwise I like the sights.

I love my Griffin fail safe BUIS.

I have a set of Magpuls offsets. Never used any of then others but the low profile of the Knight's were a sure draw. The Magpuls aren't too expensive and I knew their Pros wer good quality with easy adjustments and solid detents
They sit on a 16" Colt 9620 with a Leupold 1-6 that I'm "testing" for use as a patrol rifle. The only thing I didnt care for was the tiny default aperture. It folds out of the way if you'do rather use the large one but that got on my nerves so I pushed the pin and took the small aperture off. I figure if it's a BU sight I probably won't want the most precise aiming point. . |
