My Sig Sauer Romeo 7 came with one and I'm undecided as to whether or not to use it.

Do you use one and if so, does the honeycomb pattern impede your target aquisition / slow you down at all?  Do you eventually get used to it / not notice it?

No need for it unless you're in a combat zone and any obstruction will reduce light gathering by tiny amounts.

Understood, I'm not hugely concerned with reflection reduction but I read that they also have other benefits like reducing glare?

I've never had an issue using an RDS without one.  They're pretty much pointless outside a specific set of circumstances.

The optical coatings should handle glare from the operators side, you just need to take it shooting and see what you think. Don't decide based on indoor lighting.

I prefer the sight picture without it so unless there's a significant benefit, I'll go without it. I have it so I'll give it a try and see.

Hated when I tried one. Very distracting

I use one on an Aimpoint on a hunting rifle, purely for the fact that I don't want a potential glint of the scope to spook the deer.   It does hurt the low light ability though.

I have one on my Aimpoint PRO and I like it. It doesn't mess with sight picture very much at all. I mean the only way it could distract you is if you try and focus on it. So when you are shooting you shouldn't notice it very much. I mean if you are focused on the honeycomb of the kill flash then you probably are gonna have a hard time hitting the target anyway.
