I've had my MRO for a little over a year and have been very happy with it. However today I went to throw that upper on a lower I just built to function check it and found that the battery was dead. One of the reasons I went to the MRO from my Eotechs was for the 3 year battery life. Last time I had it out was about 2 month ago.

Anyone else experience this with an MRO?

NVM - I'm an idiot it was bright out the last time I was shooting and I left it on setting 5 so the battery drain makes sense.

I bought and mounted mine in early December 2015 and it's been on every since then. No issues with the factory mount or the battery that came with the optic. It gets shot 2-3x/mo and carried in a vehicle 4-5 times a week. I've only had to make two separate zero adjustments of less than 2moa in the entire year. I'm happy with it.

My coworker had that problem.

#1. Make sure the battery cap is on tight and try again
#2. The SUPER cheap 2032 amazon prime batteries have different thicknesses. Try some energizer or duracell.

That 3 year battery life is prob on a mid setting..  so if you keep it on high it would be bess than that..

I had a Aimpoint Mico that went dead in 1.5 years..  rather than 5..  looked it up and that 5 year rating is on a lower setting..  i just plan on replacing them once a year like smoke detector batteries lol

I have one of the first 500, bought in sept. of 15 and has been on since. I use it for patrol, so it's seen temps from about 105 down to -5 that I can recall. I leave it on setting 3, and have adjusted it between that and 4 while shooting. I'm going to leave the battery in until it dies, but so far the battery life has been impressive.
