Just got me an MRO and wanted to see if the new site upload would work (can I get my resolution low enough?)

Attached File Aaaaand I found the 2.9mb camera resolution that works, cool! So I like the MRO quite a lot so far. Haven't shot yet but feels and looks good. Good design, plenty clear glass, definitely has some anti glare tint... I am pretty familiar with microdots and it definitely has a nice look to it! Weighs less than I expected. There is a very slight magnification, which after hearing about i was initially put off... but when you're actually looking at targets it doesn't matter. Parallax seems to be as good or better than any dots I have. You can move your head quite a bit and the dot stays in place quite well, and the irons seem to be plenty useful in the lower 1/3, which given the magnification reports I was a little concerned about. That's just checking with boresighting at short distance though, will have to see if I can use my 200-600 kacs for accurate long range dialing later. Very pleased so far. For 400 bucks, it seems like a real winner |

Attached File Hmmm Same setting but with flash and 2.4mb file. Anyway as you can see it does reflect brightness in the front quite a bit, and has provisions for screw in lense filters or ARD. The "3" setting (50k hr) is good for low-ish light and indoors, but not bright enough for a sunny outdoor day. The 4 5 and 6 settings get extremely bright. There's an off setting between the NV settings and 3, which is the lowest non-NV. Attached File With irons @ 200m z Attached File |

Attached File Very glad I got the lower third mount. The dot is very crisp. |

Not for any covers. The trijicon cover is a one piece runner sleeve. |

Slightly off topic how well do you like the Centurion rail? Think it might be my next one. I like it, it's very lightweight. It's got a very small diameter so I wouldn't used it with an adjustable gas block. It's got a strong connection to the barrel nut. Quality piece of lightweight equipment with comfortable profile. It's noticeably thinner than an alg tube, for example. It was between the cmr, Geissele, alg, slr, urx4 when I was deciding. |

The one piece covers for the mro have lenses built in, which is pretty cool, but there are also flip up ARD covers with the tennebraex honeycomb stuff. Figured that might screw in but idk. No rush to get one, they're like 90 bucks. |
| Any of you guys noticing the "magnification" or "fish eye" effect? I just got back from looking at one of these at my local Basspro and that was the first obvious thing to me. I really want to like it, so I can sell my T-2, and put a little money toward something else |

It's a red dot, so use with both eyes open and put dot on target. It's not really a factor and is probably built that way on purpose to advance some other spec that matters (I'm guessing). |

Two questions: 1.) I am not using BUIS on the rifle this would go on - is the lowest mount too low? If it is, I guess the absolute cowitness mount is what I need. 2.) Who's got the best price on these? Use the regular or 1/3 mount. Got mine for just under 400 in OP chat. They were ~420 on sale at the time for BF |

I really want to like it, so I can sell my T-2, and put a little money toward something else I owned one for a few months and noticed it quite a bit. If I mounted it too far forward on my rifle I could basically see two targets with both eyes open.. so I had to bring it really far back, so my non-dominant eye wouldn't see through it as much. But the fish eye/image shift was really prevalent with this optic for me. i still liked it. But Ampoints just don't do that to me at all. Also a battery tab broke off inside and I had no clue it was even broke or how it broke, but man they are thin.. |
