OK this isn't really AR related but I need advice. I'm having a hell of a time finding a decent scope for my 10/22 takedown lite that will allow me to fit it in the bag (comes with a different bag than the regular takedown). I have a UTG Bugbuster on it now and it JUST fits but I don't trust it to hold zero and frankly I think the glass isn't all that good. Looks like anything over ten inches or so won't fit. Are QD rings an option? If so how well do they return to zero? What brands to try? Which to avoid? This issue is eating me up and making me almost wish I'd gone with a plain 10/22. Help! |

Modern AD designs normally return to within .1 MOA. Personally, I like Larue. ADM and Bobro don't make QD rings. Warne is another company with decent QD rings but I haven't seen any testing showing how close they return. I'm sure with all but the most precise setups you wouldn't notice a difference. Always remember to push forward on your optic while tightening the levers on your QD mount/rings. |

Quoted: Yes they do, I have a set on my 45-70 and they work good and seem to maintain zero once removed and reinstalled, however, they are heavy for what they are and may be awkward on a lightweight rifle. Yeah they weigh about eight ounces per set. |
