This is a new build.  I have magpul mbus sights on it.  I zero'd it out by firing 3 rounds each time, bringing target up to see hits, then moving it back down.  I have my front sight adjusted to max upward position.  I am still shooting low.  I am not too sure if it is my sight picture or a build issue.  I doubt it is sight picture because it is fairly tight, though I am not opposed to it being that.  I don't have this problem on my 1911 or my 9mm.  I am looking for ideas.  I am holdin the top of my post at the bottom of the red dot in image.  As I said, I can not raise my front sight anymore.  Could my forend be riding slightly low on the receiver.  This is my first build.  The image is 20 rounds, after zeroing, at 35 or so yards.  The target is 6 1/4" squared.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Lower your front sight post to raise POI.

To raise the shot group, the sight post is lowered. Also, 35 yards is a bit of an odd distance to BZO an AR; what's your reasoning?

35 yards is because that is roughly the distance of the range I go to.  The magpul actually says "up" to lower your sight.  It is at max right now.  I also verified with a couple of range employees and looking at threads.  It is as low as it will go.  This was Tulsa .223 ammo.  Could that also play a role?

Yes, up raises your SIGHT, but it lowers your point of impact (POI).
You want your point of aim (POA) to match your POI, lower your front sight post, to raise you POI.

35 yards acceptable, I believe the Marines zero/have zero'ed at similar distance. As far as the sight, your over-thinking... turn your front sight post 720 degrees(down/lower) & start over. If your rounds hit low, raise post. If high, lower it. What ever your instincts are telling you, do the opposite

I can do that.  Thanks.
