I picked up a 10\22 takedown lite for my dead air mask supressor and need advice on a good budget scope. Up to $200 im thinking.

I somewhat recently bought a Bushnell 1-4x24 for my Ruger 10/22. Works great.

The classic .22lr scope may be the Leupold VX-1 2-7x33.

The rimfire version has parallax set for 60 yards rather than the longer setting for centerfire.  VX-1 and VX-2 scopes for rimfire and centerfire are actually identical internally.  The front external ring can be unscrewed.  Under it is another threaded ring with slots.  That ring can be screwed in and out to adjust for parallax.  It is adjusted one way for rimfire and another way for centerfire.  That's the only difference.

VX-1 scopes have a $50 rebate right now, so the scope will be well under $200.  This is an incredibly light in weight scope with very good performance at its price point.  Hard to beat.  There is also an even lighter 28mm objective version if you really want to keep it slim and light.  I have several .22lr rifles and most wear a 2-7x Leupold.

Look at the Weaver Classic V series. They're much lighter than most scopes. I'm not sure what it is, but Weaver and Leupold have somehow figured out how to make scopes lighter than anybody else.

UTG bug buster, 3-9x40 AO, you won't be disappointed in the clarity of the glass, or the fact that it holds zero well.  I haven't messed with the lit reticle, never even installed the batteries for it, it has a black reticle when not using the lit feature.

That would be the 10 ounce 2-7x33 Leupold.  Weaver is heavier at the same power model,  but better than most.

Depends on how you use the rifle.  If you are going to shoot at small targets or pests or game (squirrels, etc.) you might want more power than 3x.

The Weaver Classic V3 is a dandy little scope, though.

My brother gave me a BSA 6-18x40 sweet 22 scope he bought awhile back on sale for like $60 that he never used.  I will slap it on my 10/22 for now. Anyone know how long I can expect a scope like that to last? All my other guns have leupold scopes on them so I am not familiar with BSA other than they are low quality. Being that it's on a 22 maybe it will work until the one I want goes on sale.

Bushnell Banner 1.5-4x32 looks just about ideal for $70...

But parallax is wrong for rimfire.  I don't know if it is adjustable as with some by accessing an internal ring in the objective housing  For small game probably ok.  For target work could open your groups up if your head and eye are not directly centered behind the scope for every shot.
