My new spitfire seems to have a lot of distortion. Even after adjusting the diopter, I am still getting double images when shooting with both eyes open. Its like looking through binoculars that are set too wide for your eyes. Not really usable with both eyes open.

Am I expecting too much from a prism scope? Any ideas?

FWIW, that was my experience too.  Not all the time, but often enough, generally when transitioning from one target to the next with both eyes open.  It's my only prism scope so I don't know how typical this is, or if t's in some way shooter dependent.

Fooled around for hours. Significant fisheye, and it looks like things shrink, less than 1x power it seems. So unimpressive I wondered if it was counterfeit, but I think it just isn't a very good optic. I am just going to return it.
