Im a hardcore handgun dude, please dont fault me... But I knew I would eventually need to get an AR... And years ago at a Gun Show I saw something that would look cool on top of an AR... So now I need to know what the heck I saw and heres a picture of it.

Looks like a 1-4 NC-Star scope.

NC-Star is widely considered an entry level scope at best and has a dubious reputation for questionable quality and durability.   There are much better scopes at the price listed in the picture you posted.  A 1-4 on an AR is a great choice, and for $250 you should be able to get something of better quality.   I'm also always a bit leery of buying something from someone that spells it "Reitcule" vs. Reticle.

I think it's a bad idea to buy optics from the gun show.

Only thing I would touch in that range is this

Everyone I have seen shoot with a NC Star scope has had some type of issue or failure at the range.  I would second the recommendation for the Bushnell PCL, it can be found for 179 at Palmetto state a, and they sometime run specials for 149 on it.  Keep in mind it's first focal plane, so the reticle will get bigger and small as you change from 1 to 4 power.  My only complaint in it is the scope has single sweet spot for eye relief for edge to edge clarity.  For me it's only noticeable at longer ranges.

For a little more the Primary Arms 1-6 has been a highly recommended option by many here.  It's second focal plane, so the reticle stays the same size as you change power.   I have yet to see one in the wild near me but the customer service from Primary Arms has been second to none for me on other products I purchased from them.

The Bushnell and Primary arms were exactly what I was alluding too.  Even some of the Millet DMS series are good, but they tend to be bigger and heavier than other 1-4 optics.
