I just got a Trijicon MRO and have a question about how crisp and circular the dot should look. Before I call Trijicon I would like to know if I have a bad one or if they are all like mine. When I am outdoors on a bright sunny day and have it on setting 3, the dot is circular and the edges are crisp. On 3 but indoors or in low light situations the edges are flairs coming off from the dot. Outdoors on the brightest setting of 6 the dot is not circular with lots of flaring on the edges. I would not be able to use it to clearly see a deer at 80 yards. Indoors or in low light, and on 6, it is a complete mess with a huge halo effect that blocks out most of the view. I have compared it to a Busnell TR25, which has clear circular dots at all setting but the highest setting is not that bright compared to the MRO. So.. do yours do the same thing or do I have a bad one? Thanks for the input. PS I tried to take a photo but could not get the camera to pick up the dot. |

Quoted: You turn it to the appropriate setting for how bright it is... It's why they let you adjust it. If the dot is crisp on 3 why are you jacking it up to 6? thank you both.. that answers my question. My Busnell does not get bright enough I guess to flair out like this. I will just adjust as needed. Thanks again. |

You will be happy it's that bright when there's snow on the ground and it's sunny outside. |
