Many years ago, I bought a SWFA SS 16x42.  Mounted it on a rifle and went to the range.  I was chasing the zero all over the target and wasting boxes of good ammo.

I ended up getting so annoyed, I took it off the rifle and tossed it into the safe, without thinking about it.

Until tonight.

I pulled it out of the safe and noticed that the windage turret is on top and the elevation turret is on the right side.  I didn't change these, they came from the factory this way.  Obviously, that's not right, and Google Images proves that.

The mystery of why I was chasing the zero all day has been solved.

Now the question;  Can I simply take out the allen screw from the side of each turret, then remove the turrets and swap them?  I don't know if there's springs or something in there that may go flying.

You can swap them w/o issue... I've had mine off... nothing to worry about.
