I've got a legacy TA31 without mounting bosses, I picked up RM38 recently and I'm wondering if any of you guys can help me decide if it's real or not. For one thing, it's glossier than I would have expected the finish on a Trijicon product to be. Second, it seems to fit strangely, I was under the impression that it should mount like this:
but, as you can see, the set screws are too far forward, and it contacts the cap for the elevation adjustment. It would fit if mounted further back like this, but it doesn't seem like they would wanted mounted on the lip like this where it's much more likely to slip off. 
I did receive the item in a Trijicon box with paperwork, but that's not much an indication. That being said, I've never used a RMR ring mount, I could be totally wrong. |
