I'm liking mbus pros more and more on my builds.

p.s. I am in no way affiliated with this seller but this is a decent deal over in the EE right now:

I got a set from a local guy where who makes them, his name is Smith, I don't know that he sells other than in the local market, it is basically a hobby for him, but they are nice sturdy sites and work quite well.  He is another small machine shop that builds ARs in his spare time.

I have them on my SR15, great back up irons.

I have the KAC 300m on my Colt 6920, also pretty good sights if you are looking for something with a little bit more simplicity.

Troy & KAC is very good. I use Matech.

I think Matech is the most user-friendly buis out there that has a bullet drop compensator.

KAC = Best I've every owned.  Troys are good.  My next set will be Bobro.  They look really nice and low.

We just got some Ruger flip up polymer sights. about 35 bucks for the rear, and 25 for the front. We like them a lot.

If the fixed sight bothers you at the lower 1/3 co-witness then go for the flip up like my Knight's Armament 300m BUIS simple and very low profile when folded only 0.315" above the top of the rail.

You could also experiment with a fixed rear BUIS, tape a 1.5" high above your rail a piece of cardboard, aluminum, or plastic and see if it bothers you when you shoot using your red dot optic.

For a fixed BUIS the DD A1.5 are nice and simple, just keep it simple like the acronym "KISS" means.

Everyone has their preference. IMO Troy makes THE best folding rear BUIS on the market. For a fixed I prefer, and am currently using, a LaRue LT103. Simple, flushed windage, set it and forget it.

The DD a1.5 is the fixed sight I was interested in. For flip up I was looking at magpul or ARMS. Inc.

For folding, hard to beat the slim, strong, nitride treated steel Magpul Pros.  They deflect if hit, making them extremely rugged.
