Do newer AimPoint PROs not come with the strap that connects the adjustment screw covers and the battery cap?

The one I got has individual straps for both adjustment screw covers  but nothing for the battery cap.  That is how it is depicted in the exploded view in the user manual also.

Thanks!

Yes, the new style doesn't have anything holding the battery cap. The adjustment caps are attached, but separate from each other now.

The old one had all 3 attached together with that rubber strap.

Why in the world would aimpoint do this?

Holding them all together is a great idea.

If you have to change a battery or adjust the zero it's great. It's easier to access them now, but you could lose the battery cap. I like the new way better to be honest.

I just received one of the new style PRO's and like it better as well, the adjuster cap profiles are lower and shielded from impact by the battery tube for both of them and there's really no chance of losing the battery cover at all.

It's easier to get a *feel* for the battery cap threads without the strap on it when you're snugging it up against the o-ring.
