I run a nikon pro-staff scope on my AR-15, and there isn't a lot of room for backup iron sights. I also like the idea of the BUIS being usable without removing the scope/optic, so I'm looking at offset fixed sights. Any recommendations? I'm interested in spending around $100 or less.

Do you have front and rear backup sights now?  If so, the cheapest solution would be to buy offset rail mounts about $20 each or so.  They are short three slot mini rail mounts that attach to your top rail and offset to the side.  You bolt your existing backups to them.  You can't use just any 45 degree offset mount, though, because some have arms too short to center the rail slots over the bore.  Those will mess up your windage.  Look for models specifically designed for use with sights, not just lights or other accessories.

If you don't have any backups to put on offset mounts,  you can pick up the basic front and rear Magpul MBUS for about $80 a set and with the offset mounts still come in just over $100.

The better solution is truly offset sights, but, decent ones are going to exceed your budget.  Magpul's offset MBUS Pro backups are cheaper than the KACs but still would probably push $160-$170 for the pair.

Nothing at your $100 price point.

For fixed offset BUIS, I like the Dueck Defense.
