Has anyone here used a Vortex Spitfire 3x yet? I have an opportunity to buy one but do not know anyone who has one. I did a search here but found nothing so I decided to post. It's going on one of my "18" AR 5.56

Curious as to why you are going with only a 3x magnification on a 18" rifle? I have a PA 1-6x X 24 ACSS scope on my 18" rifle and regret not going with something in the 4-16x range.

I have a 20" for real long distance. Eventually I'll get a 16" for close in.

How obscuring is that reticle? Seems really busy. I really wanted the 1x because of my astig, but the images of 2 circles and a dot seem to obscure the target too much.

I guess I don't understand a 44moa ring on the 1x.

I looked into the 3X and tried one at a store and outside.. I too have an astigmatism and found I was better off with the 1X ..... at least for the distances I am shooting at. I have a 1-4x Barska scope if I want to do anything else. This is on A StagARms 9mm AR
