Trying to figure out the best option for my setup.

Going with this upper
BCM BFH 16" Mid Length (ENHANCED Light Weight) Upper Receiver Group w/ BCM KMR-*ALPHA* 13" Handguard

I had Troy flip ups on my last AR but that version had a 9 in guard unlike the 13 I am ordering

Noticed that Troy offers 3 different sizes and I was wondering what the best choice would be?  I am also open to other Brands except MagPul.

I will be running an optic in the spring so they will need to be compliant.

Thoughts?

On a complete BCM upper I'd get the BCM marked Diamond Head sights.  They are super nice sights.   The rear aperture can be folded down on either the small hole or the big hole. They also lock in the up position.

I'd almost consider 'em a product improved Troy.

Why don't you want to consider these sights?

This is my recommendation. Put the enhanced front sight post in and they're even better IMO.

The Rainiers seem interesting with a good feature set:

A little pricey at $250 a set, kind of KAC-ish hybrids, but they allow you to keep the larger, emergency aperture open when the sight is deployed, and the smaller peep aperture can be flipped up when needed, which, IMHO, is good for what BUIS are ostensibly used for.  Most BUIS either offer you only one aperture option, or deploy with the smaller aperture, and you need to move it out of the way to use the larger, rapid acquisition aperture.  Either that or they're bulky.  Or both.

(Have never personally used them)

I agree as well. With out these, you'd potentially be paying half the price of a name brand optic. Guarantee you will hardly use them.

This $250 + for buis is retarded in this point in time. But, that's just like my opinion man

+1 on the MBUS Pros. I can't think of any reason to eliminate them as an option. They are steel, well built, very low profile, they take up hardly any rail space and are user friendly in every way and they're reasonably priced.....

Another option for a more precise front sight post for the MBUS Pros  is the Blitzkrieg spike FSP. The spike point allows for precise shot placement and the luminescent green stripe glows surpringly bright. I have one set of MBUS Pros with the spike FSP and another set with Magpuls Enhanced FSP....both are great but I really like the Blitzkrieg.

Still waiting for explanation of why not consider Magpul MBUS Pro.  The set is absolutely duty grade rugged, slim, low profile, nitride steel and reasonably priced.

Why does this matter?

I would be willing to bet his reasoning for not wanting Magpul is due to Magpul selling high capacity mags to ban state LE.

If it's politics, then he should not be buying from Troy for hiring people who participated in Ruby Ridge.  Might be best to keep politics out of a tech thead, though.  I'm glad cops have high capacity mags that work from whoever can supply them.

I know the OP said no to the MBUS Pro for reasons unknown.  That's what's going on my next rifle for sure.

It's worth noting that KNS Precision (makers of the anti-rotation pins) also make replacement sight posts.  I've got one on my iron sighted rifle now.  They make a total of 6 different replacement sight posts for the MBUS Pro.  Nothing fancy or GITD, but a bunch of options to get the right size and shape for the shooting you will be doing.

OP might have been against Magpuls because he thought they only made the polymer ones.

Is this true OP?

Ended up picking up a set of Pro's for $150 shipped.  Installed them last week.  Love the sleek design of them.  Can't wait to sight them in.

Thanks for the recommendations.
