I made this mounting tool to mount my scope. It's really easy to use.  The picture doesn't focus well, but the reticle is actually very clear. Just line it up with the vertical and horizontal lines.

By the way, the bubble level is not there for scope mounting. It's a poorman's anti-cant device.

Dang. That thing's only $20. Now, not sure if it's worth making one yourself.
Personally, I use a digital level. Very accurate and very fast.

The flat surface on a scope a lot of times doesn't line up with its reticle line. I'd recommend Segway for $20.
