These are my scopes and I wanted to show the differences between Digital VS Gen 2+. In this round I have a Pulsar N550A VS a Gen2+ Sentinel on a full moon with no IR used on either unit. The next test I will do will be with no moon and IR on both to see what the differences will be. I love both of these scopes and they both have pro's and con's.
Pulsar N550A Pro's Great clarity Priced cheaper than traditional night vision record your hunts with a dvr not as heavy as traditional night vision scopes can be used both day and night Can use an external battery pack to run 20 hours straight Con's battery hog, usually get 4-5 hours on double A batteries Dependent on IR light must have a lot of ambient light to use without IR Sentinel Gen 2+ Pro's Great clarity works great with ambient light without IR Hardly ever replace the batteries Con's I have this on a dedicated hog rifle cannot use this during the day Only 1 reticle choice Cannot record your hunts easily compared to digital Expensive, about $1000 more than the Pulsar N550A Here are the pics on a full moon night. Again no IR light was used. At work right now but here is the link to the pictures and when I get home I will upload them here. http://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/5734237/Gen2+_VS_Digital_Round_1#Post5734237 |
