Hello everyone. I just put a primary arms 4-14x44 ffp scope on my gun. I was bore sighting it and realized the arrows on the turrets are backwards. For example the up arrow points counterclockwise but I have to turn it clockwise to go up. The side to side turret is also backwards. This seems wrong to me but if I am wrong could someone explain the theory to me please. Anyone else have this experience?

I might be wayy of here but I am a 14er.
is it to adjust point of impact instead of point of aim?

Your scope is correct. It is doing exactly what it should do.

Think about it, or not. But once you shoot it on paper you may figure it out.

Could you explain it to me please. I'm lost. If I am looking through the scope and put the first mil dot below the cross hairs on a target and I wanted to center the cross hair I should rotate my turret 10 clicks down right? If I do that with this scope it is backwards. I will add this is my first mil/mil scope. What am I missing here.

It doesn't matter whether it is MRAD or MOA adjustments. Turning the elevation turret in the UP direction moves the crosshairs DOWN thus changing the angle the barrel is pointed up.

Ok. I had it in my head if you turn up the crosshairs move up. I never really looked at the reticle wile turning the turrets before, always shot and made the adjustment didn't think about how it got there. I should be shooting tomorrow so I will be back with some feed back. Other than overthinking it first impressions are good.

I got out to the range yesterday and sighted in my scope. This is my first mil dot scope and I was vary pleased with how quickly I was able to get on target. Only had to make two adjustments to get to the center of my target and If I would have made my calculations right the first time it would have only been one adjustment. I am very impressed with the scope so far at its price point. I didn't get a chance to check the tracking on this trip out but I will on the next. My brother in law had his ar 10 out there with a Nikon AR308 4-16 on it and I can tell that the Nikon is of better quality but I would have still got the same scope I did. Shooting both guns with the two different scopes I prefer the mil dot reticle over the bdc and the FFP vs SFP. I would have had no problem spending a little more money but the primary arms scope I got was the only mil-mil scope I could find in a ffp that was under $600. We will see how it holds up over time but for now I'm happy.
