I'm looking to purchase a Vortex scope, either 1-4x (Viper) for approx. $500.00 or the 1-6x (Razor) commonly sold for $1,399.00
Of course I prefer the Razor and would like to get the price down a tad.
Recommend a source?

Just bought a Viper PST 1-4x MRAD from Primary Arms for $425. They have the MOA model as well.

If you can swing the razor get it. I have the 3-18 and 4.5-27 and they are awesome. Call liberty and Eurooptic. Vortex has pretty tight MAP and you won't see lower prices advertised.
