I am look at 2 3-9 scopes. One is a Trijicon AccuPoint 3-9x40 Rifle Scope - TR20.  The other is a Leupold Patrol VX-R 3-9x40 Illuminated Riflescope. Both are illuminated. They will be going on a 16in bcm upper. Just having a hard time deciding. I look are leupold's ar mod 1 and it didn't look very clear or crisp. But any help would be appreciated.

I have the Leupold 3x9x40 VX-R mounted on my AR10T precision carbine.  Very happy with the set up.  I do own Trijicon products too.  Both are excellent quality products.

The VX-R Patrol has much better glass than the Mark AR.  I have the Patrol 3-9x40mm and find the glass to be very close to my VX-3 hunting scopes, which means very good.  Trijicon may have marginally better glass than the Patrol (not sure), but the motion activated Firedot TMR milrad reticle and low profile milrad turrets combined with that great glass really sold me on it.
