I have a really stupid noob question for the hive. And yes i did try google.
I purchased a primary arms red dot for my wifes new AR, and i got a high cantilever mount for it. My question, is this: Am I going to have to adjust the red dot down a bunch to compensate for the higher mount? It seems like the dot is a bunch higher than it should be. I dunno though - ive never used a red dot sight before this one. Im sure that it will be fine, this is probably just something else for me to be paranoid about. Any input at all will be greatly appreciated. |
| The answer is above. I have a question for OP. What red dot did you get that needs a mount? Are you talking about needing a riser? PA usually has info on its site regarding which risers it recommends with specific dots to get the customary lower 1/3 cowitness or the alternate (my preference) absolute cowitness. |

Look down the bore and move until it is on the target. Adjust the dot to be on the same spot. Reassemble and fire to dial in. |
