I just found the Tactical Solutions Edge Scope Mount, it is exactly the height I need for my AR and will place my scope far enough up on the rail for proper eye relief. My only concern is that the mount was designed for the 10/22, will this work on a .223 AR and hold a zero?

Should work just fine. Only issue you might face is clearance on your bells

While it will probably fit, and move the scope forward, like you need on an AR, it is probably going to be way too low to work with AR stocks.   Your stock is very high, compared to a bolt gun or that 10/22.  That is so that the stock matches your cheek position to put your eye behind an AR with the high combat front sight and the carry handle top sight.

How high is it?   Looks awfully low for an AR stock cheek weld.   Usually you want the centerline of the scope to be in the range of a full 1.5" above the top of your Picatinny rail, to mate with your stock properly so that your eye naturally centers with the scope when your cheek is against the stock at proper eye relief distance.   Some people can go a little lower or higher, but there is a reason most manufacturers make them at that height for AR15 rifles.

There is also a possible second issue:   If it is that low chances are very high that you will not be able to put a folding back up sight under the eyepiece of your scope.   Most people want that security in the event the scope fails, they can remove it and still have a sighting system.

I think you'd be better off with a dedicated AR cantilever mount.  There are lots of them out there and a decent one can be had for below $100 if you are not wanting high precision return to zero QD capability.
