Wondering peoples opinions on some budget scopes / optics. I have a magpul flip up rear sight and fixed post up front. I want some magnification like 1-4 or 1-6 but not anything too big. I know this is somewhat vague but I'm not too sure what my options are as far as mounting the scope with fixed front sight. Looking to spend around $200. Thanks.

Millett makes a 1-4 with lots of desirable features. Quality is fair.

I just picked up a Weaver 1.5 x 6 x 32 from ebay for $115 shipped they go for almost $200 at SWFA. I have it mounted and will be zeroing today. First appearance in my opinion is good bang for the buck. The green illuminated recticle is not daytime visible but is very sharp and not to busy. It has a circle and dot with horiz. and vert. hash marks. They are not too big for medium range precision shooting. The glass is VERY GOOD for this price point and does not distort at 6x. This scope is part of the Kaspa series so I believe it is made in China. That does not bother me though cause a lot of other higher priced scopes poeple use are made in China as well.
