I have one on an larue mount and I have owned it a good 2 years... its a really really nice piece how ever  can it run with the aimpoint micro ? sure its good for hd and in the back yard but when it really came to the bashing and thrashing and over seas type work would the optic hold ?

vortex sparc/strike fire is in NO WAY a combat optic. It cannot, nor was it designed to hold up in combat environments. If you want combat proven reliability, Aimpoint, Eotech, Elcan and Trijicon is where you need to be..

Ive owned mine for about 2 years also and have sent it back once already. The problem I have found is the rubber booted controls. Just pulling my rifle from a soft case has worn through it. Now i havent got my hands on the sparc 2 so they may have addressed this issue. But here in the Great North West it gets wet and a crack in that rubber could be a game ender.
